2008 Interim AMA Meeting
The American Medical Association (AMA) held its annual interim House of Delegates meeting in Orlando on November 8-11. The Medical Association of Georgia (MAG) was represented at the meeting by a contingent of 15 delegates.
During the meeting, the AMA adopted MAG's Resolution 216 that called for a policy to give physicians the freedom of opting into the Medicare program on a semi-annual basis and that the AMA petition the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services accordingly.
MAG also congratulates two students from Georgia who were elected from the AMA-MSS Region IV − Paul Wang as a delegate and Paul Mayor as an alternate delegate; they will attend the AMA annual and interim meetings in 2009 as part of Georgia’s AMA delegation.
