Alliance Legislative Influence

Days at the Capitol

Every year during the Georgia General Assembly, Alliance members are invited to participate in Alliance Days at the Capitol - a day of talking to legislators about important health care legislation that affects you and your family, as well as your spouse's patients. Contact your local Legislator to sponsor your high school student as a page on one of these days. Ask your spouse to be Doctor of the Day on one of these days! A breakfast briefing with MAG's Legislative Team is held prior to lobbying efforts. For more information, please contact kmccall@mag.org.

Contacting your legislators

It is important for you to know your state representatives and state legislators because their votes at the Georgia Capitol set the laws! To find your elected officials, please go to www.congress.org.

Calls to Action

When a 'Call to Action' is sent to Alliance members it is extremely important and the MAG legislative team at the Capitol wants you to contact the legislators noted in the message. The call could be in reference to a bill, an amendment, or a committee meeting. Please pay attention to these messages and act on them as soon as possible because it is important for medical families to make their voices heard!

If you have any suggestions about how we can improve on this, please contact Kris at: kmccall@mag.org. The Alliance wants this process to work for you.

Grassroots

Grassroots is the organization of groups of people for a purpose. MAG’s grassroots program exists for the purpose of gathering mass support for the priorities of physicians and patients in Georgia. For more information, please contact Samantha Keyes-Blumer at skblumer@mag.org.

For assistance or additional information, please e-mail Director Kristine McCall or reach the Alliance by phone.
