"Dozen Doctors a Day" Program
The Medical Association of Georgia has designed the "Dozen Doctors a Day" or 3D program for physicians to make personal contact with their legislators and give the medical community a unified voice.
"A Dozen Doctors a Day" gives physicians the opportunity to personally lobby state legislators and have an impact on the legislative process. The MAG legislative team has organized the program and will be present to answer questions, offer assistance and guide participants through the process.
The "Dozen Doctors a Day" program only requires one day from participants. Make yourself available and prove to legislators that physicians are concerned about their patients and need to be heard. You will receive an information packet from MAG to prepare you for your legislative visit.
Your day will begin at 9 a.m. with a morning briefing by one of your MAG lobbyists. You will then lobby your legislators until the lunch break, where you may be able to talk with your legislator in more depth. In the afternoon, you may attend committee meetings or hearings of interest to you.
To participate during the 2008 session, contact Mark Baggett for more information.
