DPH: NPI required for PDMP registration/access

Join us!

The Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) is advising physicians that they must have a ‘National Provider Identifier’ (NPI) number before they can register for and access Georgia’s Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP).

DPH says physicians can go to https://nppes.cms.hhs.gov/#/ to request a free NPI number.

DPH also notes that the process could take up to three weeks.
