American Medical Association

The American Medical Association (AMA) House of Delegates (HOD) is the principal policy-making body of the AMA. This democratic forum represents the views and interests of a diverse group of member physicians from more than 170 societies. These delegates meet twice per year to establish policy on health, medical, professional and governance matters, as well as the principles within which the AMA’s business activities are conducted.

AMA will convene a Special Meeting of the AMA HOD on June 11‐16, 2021. The purpose of this meeting, as defined by the action of the Board, is to accomplish leadership transitions that would otherwise be addressed in association with an Annual Meeting of the HOD and to conduct priority business of the Association. This Special Meeting will be convened on the same platforms, Lumi and Zoom, that were used at the November 2020 Special Meeting. Click here for more information.
