Medical Student Section

The MAG Medical Student Section (MSS) is the policy-making body for MAG's member medical students.

The MAG MSS is led by a governing council. One of its members serves as a voting member of MAG’s Board of Directors. The MAG MSS is also represented by three delegates and three alternate delegates at MAG’s House of Delegates meeting.

MAG MSS members can also serve on MAG committees and councils.

Any medical student who attends one of the five accredited medical schools in Georgia can join the MAG MSS for just $5 for four years.

Click here or contact Renai Lilly at rlilly@mag.org or 678.303.9263 to join the MAG MSS.

L.E.A.D.S. Medical Student Program (Lead, Engage, Advocate, Develop, Serve)

The MAG MSS developed the L.E.A.D.S. Program to help medical students in the state to become more active in organized medicine and advocacy. This program is designed to achieve this without creating additional financial burdens or distractions from their education or training.

L.E.A.D.S. Program participants learn skills and participate in experiences that prepare them to become advocates and leaders for the next generation of the medical profession while they also bolster their resumes, expand their peer and professional networks, and become better equipped to successfully transition into practice.

The L.E.A.D.S. Program is open to any MAG member medical student who attends an accredited medical school in Georgia. Click to complete the online L.E.A.D.S. Program applicationThere is a $5 application fee. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Contact the MAG MSS Governing Council at magmedicalstudentsection@gmail.com with questions.
