ABMS to host webinar on international approaches to physician assessment
The American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) is encouraging physicians to register its ‘Revalidation: International Approaches to Physician Assessment’ webinar that will take place from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 17.
The webinar is part of ABMS’ ‘Portfolio-based Assessment Series,’ which is designed to “inform the Boards community about the value that portfolio-based assessments bring to Board Certification programs by showcasing different methods of workplace-based assessments currently in use…webinars feature experts in the methodology, implementation and validation of portfolio-based assessments.”
ABMS says future webinars will address ‘Competency-based Assessments: Innovations to Improve the Quality of Clinical Education,’ ‘Patient-reported Outcomes and Patient Survey Impact on Value-based Health Care,’ ‘Utilization of Peer Reviews and Multi-source Feedback Strategies in Certification Decisions,’ ‘Clinical Data Registries Impact on Performance Improvement,’ ‘Assessing Professional and Clinical Competence through Clinical Case Logs,’ and ‘Simulations and Team-based Assessments Impact on Patient Outcomes.’
