AMA leader to appear at free opioid symposium at AU on August 13
The Compass Practice Transformation Network (PTN) is encouraging physicians and allied health care professionals to attend a free ‘Working Together to Combat the Opioid Epidemic’ symposium that it will host at Augusta University on Monday, August 13.
The keynote speakers will include Patrice Harris, M.D., MA, the president-elect of the American Medical Association, and Sheila Pierce, MPA, CLSSGB, the director of the Georgia Department of Public Health’s Opioid Program and the Georgia Prescription Drug Monitoring Program.
The program will be offered at both 7 a.m. and 12 p.m. – and the speakers will be available to answer questions between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m.
There is no need to register in advance.
