Alliant Quality promoting free hypertension webinar

Alliant Quality, which is the Medicare Quality Improvement Organization for Georgia and North Carolina, is encouraging physicians and applicable practice staff to register for a free one-hour ‘Resources to Empower Patients with Hypertension’ webinar that is being sponsored by the Georgia Care Coordination Council that will begin at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 6.

Participants will “learn about free resources available to inform and empower [their] patients to take a vital role in their health.”

– “Explain the role of blood pressure selfmanagement and blood pressure selfmonitoring in hypertension control.”

– “Describe evidencebased community programs that help adults lower and manage their blood pressure.”

– “Describe programs that support health care organizations and providers in engaging patients to take an active role in controlling their blood pressure.”

– “Explain how to incorporate Community Health Workers in blood pressure medication adherence.”
