DPH to host free HC symposium in Peachtree City on June 5-6
The Georgia Department of Public Health’s (DPH) Chronic Disease Prevention Section is encouraging physicians and applicable practice staff to register for its ‘3rd Annual Health System Symposium,’ which will take place at the Crowne Plaza in Peachtree City on June 5-6.
DPH says that, “The goal of the symposium is to engage attendees in a broad dialog on issues to improve the health of communities and integrate clinical and community health and prevention strategies.”
The free event will address a variety of key issues, including diabetes, opioids, and mental health – and DPH says that some of the sessions were designed for prescribing physicians.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided on June 5 and June 6, and there will be a reception on the evening of June 5.
In addition to DPH, the symposium is being sponsored by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Quality Improvement Organizations, Alliant Quality, and the Georgia Hospital Association.
