MAG encouraging physicians to help Alliant Health CEO raise funds for Alzheimer’s

The Medical Association of Georgia (MAG) is encouraging physicians, medical practices and allied stakeholder groups to support Alliant Health Solutions President and CEO Dennis White, MSIT, DHA, in his efforts to raise money for the Georgia Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.

White will participate in the organization’s ‘Dancing Stars of Atlanta’ competition at the Cobb Galleria on Saturday, May 4. He will be one of 13 celebrity competitors who hope to raise $1 million. More than 1,000 people are expected to attend the event. Sponsorship levels begin at $1,500, while individual tickets cost $350.

The Alzheimer’s Association’s mission is to “eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research and to provide and enhance care and support for all affected and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.”

The organization reports that some 140,000 Georgians live with Alzheimer’s – a number that is expected to increase by nearly 40 percent by 2025.

The group says that “78 percent of our total annual expenses [go] to care, support, research, awareness and advocacy activities.”

MAG is an event sponsor.
