MAG weighs in on NAIC’s draft model Rx benefit act

The Medical Association of Georgia is one of more than 70 state and national physicians’ advocacy organizations and individuals that signed a letter that was sent to leaders of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, which is finalizing its ‘Prescription Drug Benefit Management Model Act.’

The physician groups are calling for the draft to be changed in several specific and important ways, including “[prohibiting] mid-year formulary and utilization management changes” and “[improving] formulary disclosure information” and “[including] stronger conflict of interest standards.”
