Sec. Kemp weighs in on health care, other key issues on ‘Top Docs’ show

Georgia Sec. of State and gubernatorial candidate Brian Kemp discusses health care and other key issues on the latest episode of the Medical Association of Georgia’s (MAG) ‘Top Docs Radio’ show.

“The Affordable Care Act (ACA) is an absolute disaster, and it needs to be repealed immediately,” says Sec. Kemp. “We need a free market replacement that puts Georgia patients, not government bureaucrats or special interests, first.”

He adds that, “I fully support efforts to repeal the ACA taxes and to craft customized health insurance plans.”

Sec. Kemp also notes that, “Georgians who live in rural areas deserve quality health care, and that’s why we need to use innovation and technology – not government bailouts – to keep our rural hospitals open.”

He concludes that, “There is no magic formula, but through innovation we can expand access to health care. And by working in tandem with health care leaders, experts, and local stakeholders, we can improve health care outcomes for all Georgians.”

The primary elections will take place on May 22, while the general election will take place on November 6.

MAG sponsors two ‘Top Docs Radio’ episodes per month. Between downloads and live listeners, the program has reached more than 120,000 listeners – which includes people in all 50 states and 84 countries.

MAG’s ‘Top Docs Radio’ show is supported with a grant from Health Care Research, a subsidiary of Alliant Health Solutions.
