AMA issues antibody testing guidance, calls for more ACO options

The American Medical Association (AMA) reports that it has issued a ‘Serological Testing for SARS-CoV-2 Antibodies’ guidance summary “to help physicians and the public understand potential uses and limitations of antibody testing, and [to] warn against determining immunity or discontinuing physical distancing based on antibody testing.”

AMA has also signed a letter with eight other groups, including AAFP, ACP, and MGMA “urging the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to provide more options for Accountable Care Organizations as they address the current pandemic.”
