DBHDD promoting free MAT waiver certification training

The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) is encouraging physicians and other applicable practice staff (i.e., NP, PA, CNM) who have an active DEA number to dispense controlled substances to register for a free eight-hour medication-assisted treatment (MAT) training program that was developed by the National Health Service Corps and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.

DBHDD says that the training was designed to “increase the number of DATA 2000 Waiver-certified clinicians in high-need communities.”

The training is available both in-person and online.
