Leading M.D. addresses anxiety disorders on new ‘Top Docs’ show

The latest edition of the Medical Association of Georgia’s (MAG) ‘Top Docs’ show addresses anxiety disorders – and it features Mark Hyman Rapaport, M.D., the chair of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and the Reunette W. Harris Professor at the Emory University School of Medicine and the chief of Psychiatric Services at Emory Healthcare in Atlanta.

Dr. Rapaport discusses…

– How P.T.S.D. is related to anxiety
– Whether anxiety exacerbates medical disorders
– How physicians treat people who have anxiety disorders

A board-certified psychiatrist, Dr. Rapaport has written more than 180 articles for peer-reviewed publications, including the American Journal of PsychiatryBiological Psychiatry, and the Journal of Clinical Psychiatry and Neuropsychopharmacology. He is a member of the American College of Psychiatrists, the American Society of Clinical Psychopharmacology, the Anxiety Disorders Association of America, the Psychiatric Research Society, the Collegium International Neuropsychopharmacology (CINP), and the American College of Neuropsychopharmacology. And Dr. Rapaport is a distinguished fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and the CINP.

Between downloads and live listeners, the ‘Top Docs’ show – which has won an American Association of Medical Society Executives Profiles of Excellence Award – has now reached more than 680,000 listeners and viewers, which includes people in all 50 states and more than 80 countries.

The ‘Top Docs’ show is supported with a grant from Alliant Health Solutions in memory of Tom Williams, its former CEO.
