MAG calling for CMS to take more comprehensive approach to PA reform

The Medical Association of Georgia is one of the physicians’ advocacy organizations that signed a letter that was sent to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to take a more comprehensive approach to reforming the prior authorization process. The groups believe CMS has positioned automation as the “only vehicle” for PA reform. The letter outlines five key payer adoption principles that the groups believe CMS should incorporate into a more comprehensive strategy.
