MAG calling for members to support COL Chair in bid for state senate

Former Medical Association of Georgia (MAG) President and MAG Council on Legislation Chair W. Scott Bohlke, M.D., has announced that he is running for the Georgia State Senate 4th District seat that was vacated when Sen. Jack Hill passed away several weeks ago.

MAG Government Relations Director Derek Norton says that, “Dr. Bohlke would be an excellent addition to the state senate, and it would be great for MAG and the house of medicine to have another physician in the state legislature.”

The 4th District includes Statesboro and the surrounding area.

The election will take place on June 9.

Physicians are encouraged to support Dr. Bohlke with a donation. Checks that are made payable to “Scott Bohlke for Senate” can be mailed to 2620 Clito Road, Statesboro, GA 30461.
