MAG’s president addresses crucial need for tort reform in Georgia

Medical Association of Georgia (MAG) President Andrew Reisman, M.D., addresses the crucial need for tort reform in Georgia in an op-ed that he wrote for Georgia Health News.

Dr. Reisman notes that MAG is part of a collation that is “calling for lawmakers to once again reform the state’s tort system to avert a crisis that could force physicians here to cut back on high-risk services, or relocate elsewhere, or simply retire because they won’t be able to afford or obtain medical malpractice insurance.”
