MSM seeking candidates for leadership fellowship program

The Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM) is seeking physician and PA candidates for its Community Health Advanced by Medical Practice Superstars (CHAMPS) Transformational Leadership Fellowship program, which provides the “opportunity [for participants] to gain leadership and advocacy skills to transform their practice and improve health outcomes through a patient-centered care model.”

MSM says that, “The year-long fellowship educates and empowers early/mid-career primary care providers practicing in underserved communities in the Southeastern United States. The ideal candidates are emerging leaders seeking opportunities to advance change within their institutions, larger surrounding environments, and at the national level.”

MSM adds that CHAMPS fellows can…

– “Earn CME credits through on-line course instruction”

– “Engage in practical leadership and quality improvement instruction through in-person and virtual coaching sessions”

– “Complete a health care transformation project with a focus on one of the three Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) priorities (childhood obesity, mental health, opioid abuse) to benefit [their] practice and community”

– “Become part of a team to coach and mentor future CHAMPS fellows”
